Crossing the Rio Grande (the first time)

We were headed over to Taos on what we thought was a main highway.  There isn't much traffic on any of these roads.  Then the pavement ended and we were on a gravel road at the edge of the Rio Grande Gorge.

Nothing to do but head down the gorge!

And there at the bottom is the Rio Grande, looking very sweet!
... and a litte bridge to cross it ...
 Crossing the Rio Grande!

    1. it's like a different planet in some places, Barbara. I may not get caught up until I get back to FL, so hang on ... we're on a Navaho reservation in Arizona (I think we're in AZ), not the best internet connection for uploading photos.

  2. Hello Beth

The southwest is so beautiful. I remember years ago crossing the Rio Grande, when there WAS NO Rio Grande (no water).

I am in Ireland now, in beautiful Kerry. Crossed over the Conor Pass yesterday into Dingle. It is an amazing ride, beautiful scenery, and lots of sheep. I will post some pics after I arrive home.

Hope you and yours are enjoying your trip.

    Brian
